The Challenge
The inaugural Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) Conference was held at a time when Cyber Security was emerging as a significant factor in Australia. Our client had big expectations and recognised the huge potential the conference had, so turned to Conlog to help them deliver their vision.
The Solution
Conlog went to work, partnering with ACSC, to start the planning process. It was a full service conference that included around 800 delegates and keynote speakers that were sourced from around the world. The 60 exhibition booths plus many other sponsors meant that we needed to build an additional room adjacent to the Canberra Convention Centre. This space included innovative, fun ways to engage the delegates with the exhibitors.
The Outcome
This inaugural ACSC Conference was a resounding success, leading to Conlog being contracted to manage the event for four consecutive years. During this period, we facilitated significant growth, increasing attendance to over 2,000 delegates and expanding the exhibition to more than 80 booths.
The conference excelled across various metrics, including surpassing financial targets, enhancing delegate experience, delivering substantial returns on sponsorship and exhibition investments, and advancing awareness within the cyber security sector. The demand for participation was evident, as the Sponsorship and Exhibition prospectus sold out within weeks of its release. The venue’s capacity ultimately constrained the conference size, as we maximised the available space.
A testament to the exceptional service we provided, the third ACSC Conference was recognised as the Territory Winner in the Best Conference Category at the Australian Event Awards. This accolade reflected a remarkable team effort and served as a well-deserved recognition for all stakeholders involved, including clients, suppliers, and the Conlog team.
